That's why I'm playing the sorceress in the normal way.Diablo 2 item free download - Diablo II Item Drop mod, Diablo 2 Character Editor, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, and many more programs. To everyone who considers those starter chars cheating, it is, isn't it? But I only do it for characters who I can actually play well enough to skip most of normal. I've already been tempted to jump straight into hell difficulty, or even just nightmare (to skip all the normal bosses), but I've decided there's a line, and I'm not going to cross it. In the future I might want to trade, but I can tell you it's going to be a tough switch for me.Īnyway, that's the point about starter characters. Currently I'm doing a sorceress, whom I've been leveling for fire wall, and boy, does the progress seem slow sometimes. But I must admit that I'm finding it quite hard to get into starting at level one again. Playing those silly uber chars which are impossible in a normal game will ultimately suck rocks. In my opinion then, it saps the fun out of the game, and all your accomplishments seem in vain.Įither way though, do what you like, do what makes it fun for you- obviously though, dont try and trade/mp if you do use themĬlick to expand.Yes, in such a case I agree that's the best thing to do. what do i have that i can trade for this item" its addictive. if i got this, i could use this setup, and that would be good. when im at work or whatnot, i am constantly thinking "would this work better? or i could go with this setup. You can actively seek out gear, and decide whats best based on your budget. You will also find that trading is one of the best parts of the game, and if I could not trade i would go nuts. so i would say, delete the editor, all you know, and just pick a charachter and play it- restarts suck, but nothing compares to looking through your atma stashes and knowing that you found them all for real, legitly, and- its an awesome feeling. As of this day, almost 8 months of d2, I have played through act 3 about 6 times, act 2 hardly more. I wish, more than anything, that I had started out not with bnet, not with editors, but actually playing a charachter through.
D2 lod hero editor how to#
you think that you are just shortcutting the time away, and that you will use it to find gear to play real charachters, but you never will- you never learn how to play, you just run around pwning everything, and you hit the point where you realize its all in vain. I used it to test out builds and the like for bnet, and once i decided SP would be more fun, I started out with an edited charachter. Much like asmo, my first foray into SP was with an editor. But eventually when you stand triumphant over hell baal's screaming corpse and tyreal comes down to see you, you'll know you deserved to be there. So my advise is to put up with normal diff. I've never looked back and glad every minute that I took this path. Once I had realised this, I deleted my entire item and character collection (and all the editor apps) and started out in LoD with a level 1 character picking up chipped gems and looking for a socketed sceptre for my first weapon. You start off small like jumping a few levels and before you know it, you'll be hacking up tomb raiders, rune words and jewels by the mule load in no time. You see, without the hard yards of toiling thru magic find runs, normal difficulty, pit, pindle, baal etc runs, when you do finally accomplish something like achieve level 99, find Tryaels might or make that Call to arms rune word, you don't enjoy it as much because you never truly earned it. I wasn't playing D2/LoD, I was playing d2 editor. I had totally lost the whole point of playing the game. Then when I bought LoD I sat there installing it and thinking about all the new ways to hack the game when It dawned on me what I was doing.
Create an item or character, play it for 5-10 minutes then fire up the editor and try to make it better. I used to use a character editor long long ago in the old days before LoD was released. Your after opinions, so I'll give you one.
